This sushi place has been one of my go to spots for years and the quality has not changed since the start. The sushi is always fresh and made quite quickly - even when the place is packed. The restaurant is always clean and servers are attentive and prompt.
I usually come for the all you can eat lunch, which is very reasonably priced on weekdays and weekends. It has all the sushi you could want, along with tons of other items like teriyaki, teppanyaki, rice and noodle dishes, soups, tempura, and dim sum.
The all you can eat dinner is standard price compared to other sushi restaurants, and has a few more items on the menu than the lunch menu.
A few items I would recommend are the dynamite roll, chicken teppanyaki and unagi fried rice.
Several restaurants before Mika Sushi existed have opened and closed in this location over the past 20 years, but Mika seems to be the only one that has been successful enough to stick around. Give it a try if you're looking for good sushi in Oakville! -

My boyfriend took me here on a Friday date night, because it was easy to get to and we were craving sushi. The restaurant is small, but we saw that it was decently busy, and so we decided to trust that that meant that the food was good.
Inside, the female waitress was a bit surly with us, but I did see her smile at her children who were playing in the booth behind my boyfriend, so I know she's not made of stone. The waiter, however, was much nicer, and he actually acknowledged my boyfriend and me properly whenever he came by. As far as service goes, it's not the greatest, but they weren't awful, and I'd rather be served by the waiter if I'm honest.
The food was just alright. We tried quite a few roles off the menu, and one order each of spring rolls and dumplings. The spring rolls were just average frozen spring rolls, though the dumplings were good. The sushi had way too much rice, though, but the nigiri had decent cuts of fish-- particularly the octopus and the salmon. Some of the maki were delicious, and I was quite fond of the futo maki and the spider rolls, but there was still way too much rice on everything. It wasn't bad or stale or anything, but we didn't pay nearly $60 to just eat rice. There are much better places to go to in Mississauga than Mika's, and while the dinner price was quite affordable compared to a lot of other places, I still think there are better places to go.
TL;DR we didn't try any of the kitchen items, but as far as the sushi goes, the nigiri were great, and the dynamite, red dragon, BC, futo maki, and spider rolls were the highlights of the evening. The squid roll was a bit bland, and everything had too much rice. It was a nice evening, and I enjoyed myself because I was on a date with my lovely boyfriend, but this place was just okay. You won't walk out of here saying you had the best sushi of your life. -

Honestly wanted to like it but a few things got in the way.... 1) sushi quality sub-par with wrong portions of fish to rice, 2) service was super slow.... after about 40 mins and ordering barely anything the server came up w an empty order sheet sayings "last call"... wow! 3) super friendly.

The sushi was subpar. It was 80% rice 20% sushi. They came up to us three times asking us to stop removing the rice. They stared at us the entire time making sure we ate all the rice. Will definitely not be going back.
